Wow, you know that’s exactly how I feel about my Duka. I’ve gone dogless for nearly 3 years, and Setterless for 6. I miss having a dog so very very much. I’m already fanatical and he isn’t yet in my arms. Anyway, I love your blog and hopefully you’ll update more often.
awww~~~That’s so wonderful ^_^
I had these kind of discussions with my parents too cause we(me and my brohter) always wanted a dog.
But we’ve got to a point that we both gathered money, called our parents to a family meeting and said: ‘WE are going to buy a dog!” And since we were pretty much gorwn up by ourselves my father didn’t refuse. hehehhe
Nowadays, my father is the one that spends more time with Yubi (our dog) than anyone else! :P She is 6 years old now ^_^
Oh my god that photo of her is gorgeous! Well, there was a dog shaped hole in mine; and yes I tried to fill it with other stuff! Everything you could think of; plush toys, those silly ‘robot’ pets, pets that weren’t a dog (fish, mice, anyone?)
GOD yes. I have tons of stuff toys ( i still do. (:), i had robot dogs and i had fish, terapins, hamsters and rabbits. and Finally a DOG! – Summer. :D
@Caylish; Ohh I can’t wait until you get Duka, you sound really excited. Georgia says hello ~ !
@Tigger; Hehehe oh that is so awesome! I’m glad you took the initiative to get a dog, haha :)
@Lyn/Summer; Hahah LYN ilu. XD Thankyouu! Oh yeah I’m glad I wasn’t the only weird one. Oh man I was SO working up to a rabbit but my parents drew the line at that. Ehhh!
Oooh it’s like you’re describing my life – except I’m 20 years old and my parents never bought me a dog :(
All through my childhood I nagged and nagged and never got one. I had guinea pigs and mice, birds, fish… but none of them compare to a fluffy doggy!
I think your parents did the right thing, though. They hammered into you the responsibility a dog is and waited until they thought you were old enough to handle one! I think if my kids want a dog I’ll use the same tactics!
Haha Tigaaahhh! (Oh man how old is that nickname BUT YET I WON’T MOVE ON. -slap-)
Aww at least you got up to a guinea pig! I had this insane notion that I’d work up the ladder of …pet …species and somehow magically it’d evolve into a dog.
So do I, when I come to think of it! I think that I’d definitely do the same things if I had a kid …make them APPRECIATE THE DOG DAMNIT. >:C I’ve seen too many kids growing up with a dog and then they’re just like ‘lolthedog. it doesn’t really have feelings!’
May I say, first, that, just like Chloe, your blog inspired me to amke my own. :) Either way, though, your’s is lovely. Lovely pictures; You’re very photogenic.
Miss Georgia you really are such a gorgeous dog! I wish I had your fur! I bet May just loves to pet you. ;D Buck, my master, really loves Border Collies…she’s actually thinking of getting one! :O Which means I’ll get a sibling…ugh. She says she fancies to orangish coloured ones(which she’s only seen once in a Beneful commercial. lawl.). May I ask a question on her behalf? Exactly how many times to you prefer to go on walks a day? Buck is worried that she might not be able to provide enough exercise for them. =/
Also, might I ask how you do all of your lovely CSS? Not coding persay…Buck is able to do a bit of that…but where/how? We can’t seem to do much with my blog, yet. =/
Georgia is beautiful and I am glad that you finally have a dog of your own. I have NEVER EVER been able to understand the “no pets” rule, I am so glad that my parents are ‘animal people’ and I have always been surrounded by pets. I did however have to wait over 30 years to be able to provide a suitable home for a Border Collie, and finally have my wonderful Taj.
Also, I’m really glad you now realise that pet shops are not the place to get animals from!
